Our biggest awareness raising campaign is on textile.  There are many issues in the entire production chain of garments and even in the way garments are being disposed of.  Caritas Luxembourg through its Plaidons Responsible team has 2 projects on textile.

The first project is ‘Rethink Your Clothes’, an awareness raising campaign led by Caritas Luxembourg in partnership with Fairtrade Lëtzebuerg. We have been mandated by the Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. Together, we aim to sensitize the wider public on social and environmental issues of the textile industry.

The second project is ‘Lët’z Refashion’. Lët’z Refashion at first glance is a shop where we present and make available concrete solutions and alternatives to fast fashion. It’s a space where we give designers the opportunity to show their ethical and sustainable initiatives. That being said, Lët’z Refashion is not only a store, it’s an outlet to raise awareness to consumers directly as they come to us. We hope to use the space to create and expand a network with people who seek to change consumptions habits.
