About the event
In partnership with the CarbonNerds from the LIST, the Ministry for Consumer Protection, the Ministry of International Cooperation, Greenpeace and Infogreen we ought to bring you local short and long term solutions and actions to decarbonise in Luxembourg. There are 5 events to discuss sectors with high carbon emissions - energy, mobility, housing, food and consumption goods.
Housing
Housing is a critical sector for Luxembourg, not only due to the high prices and accessibility issues, but also to the pressure it has on the environment. The size of houses is larger than the European average, and Luxembourg tops all other countries in share of fossil fuels used for space heating (mostly fuel oil and fossil gas). The consumption of domestic heat is therefore a significant contributor to overall greenhouse gas emissions. What plans can we design to reduce GHG emissions from housing?
